vespa/nostalgia

walked down 74th street today and saw this adorable peroni branded vespa. combined with the garden apartments as background, it made me a bit nostalgic for when I lived in Milan. only a bit. of course, to make it really feel like Italy, everything behind the vespa would need to be covered in graffiti.

bike ms ride

left my camera at home, and didn’t feel like stopping, so this ended up being the only pic I took today on the ride. Although it is pretty cool to stand in the middle of the FDR drive.

city flowers

I do appreciate that the buildings on my block *try* to plant flowers around the trees, but this is pretty much the limit of their creativity. Not that I blame them, we had tulips at the beginning of the summer, and someone actually came by and stole them all.

clocks

one of my favorite things about the upper west side is that there are clocks on almost every major corner, so when I forget my watch, it’s really easy to figure out what time it is. This clock, of course, is an hour fast, throwing a wrench in the whole thing.
