It is pretty amazing how the squirrel has fooled us into thinking it isn't a rat by having a bushy tail and looking cute. I mean, would you stop your car if a rat was crossing in front of you? I know I wouldn't. :)

They have the "Dam Tour" which takes you inside selected parts of the dam, but it's nowhere near as comprehensive as the old Hard Hat Tour.

I was there last year and I think they do have the tour. You have to go through airport style security to get to it.

I have been insisting for years that Southern Justice is the sort of work that entirely vindicates an artist. Had Rockwell done anything or nothing before it, and anything or nothing after it, he would none-the-less be a great artist for having painted it.

thanks for the tips - the biggest burden of going anywhere but the finish is having to get up earlier and navigate my way to somewhere other than the upper west side.

As far as my photo equipment, this post details my equipment. For the marathon, I used the 70-300mm lens, since I can generally stand further away and get decent shots of the runners.

What equipment did you use for the pics (dSLR, poin and shoot, film 35mm, etc) ....the runner with the blanket is really nice captures the colors/lighten of the city in fall. if you do decide to come out to brooklyn i would suggest the 8 mile mark (where both routes merge) .... also known as Fort Greene/Clinton Hill great pic opportunities and the community really comes out for the runners....

We've been having nice weather in Chicago, too. It's all going to change this weekend, though.

Was someone selling the flowers, or just getting ready for selling season? Whatever you want to call it.

Getting ready for spring, you move fast? Since I ride so many different bikes Haven't used my cleats in a while. I like just getting on the bike with any shoes I like. Don't really notice much of a loss in power. But my feet are much warmer.
btw- Gortex Merrils really keep your feet warm and you can use em with your powerstraps!

One rainy day before I rode home I used Bubble wrap to make a rear fender,,,to keep the water from spraying onto my back. Then I realized what a great rain suit bubble wrap would make.Keeps you dry and gives great Cushioning in a crash.

You'd just bounce around a little,So many great ideas!
