RSS Feeds are awesome. If you don’t have one for your blog, you should get one (and make sure it works).
If you don’t have one, I will be much less likely to read your blog, as I have now jumped on the RSS Reader bandwagon. And I’m sure I’m not the only one.

I’m going to be totally swamped at work for the next few weeks (not to mention that one of my best friends is getting married), so I’m expecting the updating to be pretty sporadic at best.
slight update to the color palette. Moved from an overwhelmingly orange theme to something a little more coral. It’s less harsh, and orange, while my favorite color for years, has become incredibly overexposed this season. It was time for a change.
Update: revamped again – I’m trying out a more "eggplant" theme now (by accident – I was looking for a pinkish color and accidentally entered the code for the light green – turns out, I liked it). Let me know here if there are any readability problems.
So I’ve added a new category, "current events", because I realized that a lot of stuff that I had been shoving into the "politics and law" category really had nothing to do with either politics or law, but that weren’t completely random. This will be where I talk about not so political or legal stuff going on in the world (interesting stuff I’ve read in the news, movies, etc.) that is a little less "random" than the stuff I end up putting into "random thoughts".
It’s on the iBlog wish list (thanks to yours truly) to add the ability to include entries in more than one category, but until then, I’m just going to pick the "best fit", even if something appears to fit in more than one spot. Otherwise I’m going to end up with forty categories.
Also, I changed all the image icons. It was time for a change.
Century Gothic. I like it – It’s a little more art deco and a little less "you are reading a computer" than the prior layout. While the font was fixed (largely) through the stylesheets, I’ve also decided to revamp the headers on the non-blog sub-pages. Yet again, the photo albums are going to take some time.
Why is it that whenever I decide to make a change to the site, it involves at least one thing that requires an edit on every single page?
Just testing the new BlogSnaps technology. This’ll make it easier to post entries while away from my home computer, although still necessitating access to that computer to actually publish.
I will have to remind myself to check the font before I publish too – since it initially showed up in some technical font that doesn’t match, and if I’m anything, I’m a conformity junkie when it comes to this site.
I certainly hope that I’m not on my way to becoming one of these people (thanks to Gothamist for the link).
Unless they’re professional writers, most bloggers I read (and myself) really seem to squeeze their journaling in between the other aspects of their life. I know that if something is going to get neglected, it’s going to be my website, not my job, family or friends (which is also why, when I do get some truly free time, you end up seeing a flurry of changes all over the place – I keep a running list of all the things that I want to do when I get the time). I don’t think I’ve ever told someone, "oh no, I’m sorry, I can’t go out to dinner because I have to write a blog entry".
I mean, I went on vacation by myself with my computer, and I think I wrote, like 4 entries. And at least one of them was when I was stuck in the airport for three hours.
Of course, the fact that I have no ability to update any aspect of my website from my office also probably helps me keep from going over the edge. There’s nothing like incompatibility of computer systems and software, plus an over-zealous IT department that doesn’t even let us have access to the Control Panel in Windows to keep you at least somewhat focused on the stuff your supposed to be doing!
Because I’m never completely happy, I’m changing the templates of my homepage slightly, yet again. As I get more technically proficient with this whole web design thing, I keep finding things that I want to do. The "front" pages are done (for now!), and I’ve started working on the photo albums, but they’re going to take a little while longer. The one that I’ve completed is the one from the Bata Shoe Museum. It actually comes first alphabetically, so it always ends up being the "experimental page". I should remember by now that it actually has more photos than any of the other albums.
I’ve added Apartment Therapy to my list of favorites. I live in a fairly small apartment, and I’m always looking for tips on how to make it more efficient/livable, and these guys seem to have a wealth of helpful resources. Thanks to Gothamist
