one of the things I love about new york city is the quirky hodgepodge of architectural styles you see just walking around a single neighborhood.

Went to see Race last night. As with everything by David Mamet, it was both fabulous and fabulously uncomfortable.

the other day, I was watching “You’ve Got Mail” for the first time in years (and the first time since I moved to the UWS), and realized that Maya Scharper was the store used as meg ryan’s children’s bookstore in the film.

…is the plastic tree in the lobby of my apartment building.

I got this as a gift from a former co-worker at my birthday party last year, but I haven’t had an occasion to break it open. I do love the bottle though!

I’m not a particularly (or, at all) religious person, but for some reason I always light a menorah at chanukah. If I recall correctly, I bought this menorah in college, for less than $20, and I’ve been dutifully packing it up and moving it with me for the last 15 years.
