I know I&#8217;ve started getting old when I no longer think about how pretty it is or how much fun it could be, but rather about what a pain in the ass it will be to trudge to the subway after work today, and I hope that I closed my windows all the way, and how am I going to get to the dry cleaner in the morning without ruining all the clothes that can&#8217;t get wet&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>And it also kind of sucks that adults don&#8217;t get snow days.  Particularly in New York, where once I get to the subway station 1\/2 a block from my house, I can actually get all the way inside my 24th-floor office without going outside again (Damn you, sprawling Rockefeller Center Concourse!). On the other hand, I can also go from my office all the way to the Banana Republic on 5th Avenue without putting a coat on either, so that&#8217;s kind of cool.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m still working on my photo albums.  Hopefully I&#8217;ll have everything wrapped up this weekend, while I successfully cocoon inside my apartment, venturing out only for more diet coke&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It started snowing here this morning.
